As signing day approaches, the Texas Longhorns are working to fill their 2024 recruiting class, but they have a promising addition to their 2025 class.

They had only one commitment as of Monday, but that number will increase with their latest addition.

Emaree Winston, a four-star tight end, revealed where he will play college football with 247Sports. According to On3, he is the No. 224 player in the country, the No. 13 tight end, and the No. 27 player in the state of Georgia.

Winston chose Texas over Ohio State and UCF despite having a long list of scholarship offers.

The Longhorns beat out nearly 40 other programs and will now have another player to help compensate for the loss of Ja’Tavion Sanders, who is expected to declare for the NFL Draft following the end of this season.

Winston is a talented tight end who also plays basketball for Calhoun, averaging 12 points and 12 rebounds per game.

Winston is now the first offensive weapon to commit, joining four-star quarterback K.J. Lacey in what appears to be the start of a special offensive class in Austin.
