Chris Brazzell has made his decision on where he will play in 2024.
Brazzell has been one of the portal’s most sought-after receivers. As a redshirt freshman for the Tulane Green Wave in 2023, the 6-foot-5 WR had 44 catches, 711 yards, and 5 touchdowns. The receiver will now resume his collegiate career at Rocky Top.
Per 247Sports, the receiver will join the Tennessee Volunteers. Brazzell had long been rumored to be interested in the Vols, and it now appears official.
The receiver has 3 seasons of eligibility remaining. Brazzell joins a receiver room in Tennessee that also features Squirrel White, Kaleb Webb, Chas Nimrod, and incoming freshman Mike Matthews. The Vols are also waiting to find out if experienced receiver Bru McCoy will come back after suffering a season-ending injury.
Brazzell is the latest player to transfer to the Vols, joining tight end Holden Staes and defensive backs Jakobe Thomas and Jermod McCoy.
This news comes just one day after the Vols inked a respectable recruiting class. Currently, the Vols have the No. 13 class per the 247Sports Composite ranking. The class is headlined by two 5-stars: WR Mike Matthews and EDGE Jordan Ross.
