FREMANTLE intends to add two players during the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP), with untested forward Sebit Kuek on the injured list.

Kuek, 23, was drafted in the 2022 Mid-Season Rookie Draft but has yet to play for the Dockers as a senior.

He damaged his knee in the WAFL last July and is currently recovering from knee and shoulder surgery, with Freo preparing paperwork to place him on the long-term injury list.

Last month, the Dockers announced that another forward, Josh Corbett, would have hip surgery and miss the 2024 season.

“It’s unfortunate for Sebit and Josh, who have both had promising starts since arriving at the Club,” said Fremantle head of player personnel David Walls.

“Josh and Sebit’s long-term health is our priority, and the club will assist them with their rehabilitation and return to play.”

“We’re losing two talls due to long-term injuries to Sebit and Josh, but that also gives us the opportunity to have four train-ons.”

“There will be a few different types there.” A couple of talls and a couple of tiny forwards.”

The Dockers are set to recruit Jeremy Sharp, a former Gold Coast midfielder, through the SSP, which opens on Monday.

Freo saw Liam Henry and Lachie Schultz leave via trade at the end of the season, while Joel Hamling left as a free agent to join Sydney.

Oscar McDonald, a former Melbourne and Carlton defender, is one of their new additions.
