The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, had invited Chief Emami to a meeting about two weeks ago after performing a traditional rite at Ogbowuru hall in Ode – Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people, but Chief Emami, who was outside Warri Kingdom preparing for a foreign trip, was unable to immediately accept the respected King’s invitation.

This newspaper learned that Chief Emami, upon arriving in Warri today, Friday April 14, dashed to the palace of the Olu of Warri in company of the Akulagba of Warri Kingdom, Chief Omamuli, for a four-hour meeting that appeared to concretize the peace-building processes between the Warri Monarch and Chief Ayirimi Emami, the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom.

Chief Emami, who thanked the large crowd of his supporters waiting for him at the palace gate at the end of the meeting, revealed that the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has invited members of the respected Ologbotsere family to a meeting at the Olu Palace on Sunday, April 16 for the necessary traditional jaw-jaw.

It is expected that the process of consolidating the unity of the Itsekiri Nation, which began in the aftermath of the succession crisis, will come to an end in the subsequent court cases.
