Longhorns have gotten him

Unlike other college football players who may desire to move but are unable to do so, Alabama athletes now have a 30-day transfer portal window.

While Saban reportedly asked them to stay and see who would take his place, one player rushed into the portal right away: Alabama’s leading receiver, Isaiah Bond.

And now, Alabama’s loss has become the Texas Longhorns gain, with Bond committing to Steve Sarkisian and the Horns on Sunday morning.

“Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company,” Bond was quoted as saying by ESPN. “My company is currently a draft stock. I believe I’m putting myself in a position to increase that and acquire greater draft stock.”

The case for, and against, a one-loss Texas Longhorns making the College Football Playoff

“Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company,” Bond was quoted as saying by ESPN. “My company is currently a draft stock. I believe I’m putting myself in a position to increase that and acquire greater draft stock.”

“I like the whole package that comes with it,” Bond said to ESPN. “Great quarterback, they have a great offensive line. “I felt like it was a great spot for me to come to.”

This past season, Bond racked up a team-high 48 catches this season, while racking up 668 yards and four scores.

He was also the hero of the Iron Bowl vs. Auburn, catching a miracle touchdown in the corner of the end zone as time expired.
