“BREAKING: Class of 2024 quarterback Trever Jackson has committed to Florida State! The 6’3 190 QB from Winter Garden, FL had previously committed to Ole Miss. The Seminoles now have TWO Elite 11 Finalists in their ’24 Class (Luke Kromenhoek, and now Jackson).

Jackson told Fawcett, “Growing up in Florida, Florida State University was always a dream school for me. I adored the college town atmosphere. I attended a few games and enjoyed every minute, knowing they had another 24′
My Granny Ruby Collins Moore, who died a week ago, was a huge FSU fan as well. Every time she saw me, she would say “If you ever get the opportunity… Granny think you should go to FSU”. I’m overjoyed that I have the opportunity to make her proud.”
Jackson joins Florida State football coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles’ top 12 2024 recruits. He is joined by four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and four-star cornerback Charles Lester III, among others.
Florida State football has also had success in the transfer portal, acquiring former Alabama running back Roydell Williams. Williams was Alabama’s second-leading rusher in 2023, with 560 yards and five touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry. The 5’10, 214-pounder is expected to have one year of NCAA eligibility left and could emerge as Florida State’s top back next season after junior Trey Benson declared for the NFL Draft.
