The Cleveland Browns had great expectations going into the 2023 NFL season to live up to their reputation as a serious Super Bowl title contender with superstar quarterback Deshaun Watson at quarterback. However, the team had a difficult season.
Sadly, injuries have beset this club all season long. Watson and top running back Nick Chubb suffered season-ending injuries, and Cleveland was simply unable to maintain health during the rigors of the regular season.
With the exception of star defensive end Myles Garrett, the Browns lost maybe their two finest players, yet they still managed to contend for the 2023 season and advance to the NFL playoffs.
Cleveland was expected to go to the second round of the playoffs, but they were not successful. Through Noah Weiskopf of Orange and Brown Report, Garrett thanked Browns fans for their support this season, despite the fact that the team was the underdogs on the road against the Houston Texans in the first round.
“I want to express my gratitude to the world’s most amazing fans for their support this season. Garrett declared, “We won’t give up until we bring the city of championship.”
Because of his achievements on the field this season, Garrett is deserving of the title of NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He is as devoted to the Browns franchise as they come, and he is as passionate as they come for an NFL superstar.
Garrett recorded 14.0 sacks, 33 solo tackles, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in 16 regular season games.
Cleveland will always be a great defense and a formidable force in the AFC as long as Garrett plays at this caliber.
