Breaking News: Mike Vrabel conducts Coaching Interviews With Two NFC South Teams

NASHVILLE— According to various sources, Mike Vrabel, the former Titans coach, will meet with the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers leadership this week.

Five NFL teams, including the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons, are actively looking for new coaches. The Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Seattle Seahawks are also looking for new coaches. Vrabel has already interviewed for the Chargers position. ESPN also says that the Seahawks are interested in interviewing Vrabel for the post.

On Wednesday, Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk revealed that Brian Callahan will succeed Vrabel as head coach. Vrabel’s previous team, the New England Patriots, hired Jerod Mayo, while Antonio Pierce was named full-time coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after previously serving as interim coach. Pierce was also among the candidates interviewed for the Titans’ head coaching job.

Vrabel coached the Titans for six seasons, going 54-45. He received the 2021 NFL Coach of the Year award and led the Titans to the AFC Championship game in his second season in 2019.

The Titans fired Vrabel following two straight losing seasons, including this season’s 6-11 record.
