The Tennessee Titans have reportedly started the process of removing former head coach Mike Vrabel’s staff.
According to Paul Kuharsky, offensive coordinator Tim Kelly has been sacked, and others are also being let go, though no names were provided in Kuharsky’s article.
Kuharsky also notes that the team’s director of football administration, John Streicher, is no longer mentioned on its website.
Callahan told Tim Kelly last night that he was out. Others have been told the same thing but have yet to come forward.
Vrabel’s director of football administration, John Streicher, is no longer mentioned on the team’s website.
This purge comes as no surprise given the hiring of new head coach Brian Callahan, who will now form his own staff.
Several Titans coaches have been interviewed for jobs elsewhere in recent weeks, and tight ends coach Tony Dews has accepted the running backs coach position with the New York Jets.
There are a few holdovers we’d like to see the Titans keep, like defensive line coach Terrell Williams and quarterback coach Charles London.
However, considering the current news and the fact that London is allegedly open to alternative opportunities, this becomes less likely.
