Florida’s 2024 Orange and Blue scrimmage game and spring training camp workouts have been set.

GAINESVILLE, Florida — Florida will play its annual Orange and Blue spring game on Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. ET, the programme said on Thursday. This will be the team’s third and final scrimmage of the 2024 spring training camp.

Admission to the spring scrimmage will be free.

Players will report to camp at the beginning of March, with the first of 15 sessions commencing on Thursday, March 7. Practices will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with no sessions scheduled for UF’s campus-wide spring break from March 10 to March 16. One Friday workout will occur in April.

According to Graham Hall of Swamp247, Florida’s spring game, which is free to the public, was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 18. It scheduled the annual exhibition on a Thursday during Billy Napier’s first two offseasons in command of the Gators, a strategy the head coach has deemed useful to UF’s football recruiting efforts.

“It does not matter if you play at the University of Florida. “If your staff works really hard, there’s a lot of talent that can get in the car and drive here,” Napier remarked last April, following the 2023 spring game. “We’ll make a decision each year in what we think is the best from a recruiting strategy standpoint, and I think it paid off today.”

The upcoming spring scrimmage will mark the first playing appearance in front of Gator Nation for 29 new scholarship members of Florida’s roster, 18 high school signees, and 11 transfers, with potentially more on the way, given that 2024 defensive tackle D’antre Robinson and 2024 cornerback Jameer Grimsley joined the team last week.

In addition to the football scrimmage, Florida will host eight home athletic events from April 12 to 14.
