Once more, the Las Vegas Raiders concluded another NFL season with an offensive line ranked in the top ten.

Starting center Andre James is one of the several free agents that Raiders coach Antonio Pierce and new general manager Tom Telesco must decide between.

Without a doubt, James achieved a career-best conclusion to the 2023–24 NFL regular season. He played 963 snaps in the NFL regular season of 2023–24, giving up just four sacks and only three penalties.

James was ranked 20th in the NFL for total snaps played at his position; he was tied for 27th place for penalties, and he was tied for eighth place for sacks allowed.

James received a Pro Football Focus grade of 74.6 at the end of the 2023–24 NFL regular season. In addition, he received a 71.2 pass-blocking mark and a 75.0 run-blocking score at the end.

At the conclusion of the NFL regular season in 2022–2023 James’ Pro Football Focus grade was 62.8. In addition, he received a 64.5 pass-blocking mark and a 59.3 run-blocking score at the end.

A recent piece on Pro Football Focus identified one free agent that every NFL team cannot afford to lose during the NFL offseason. James was the Raiders’ player on that list.

In the 2023–24 NFL regular season, Pro Football Focus recognizes and celebrates James’s career bests as a run blocker and pass protector. His final PFF grade in both areas was 70.0, demonstrating his ability to stop both zone and gap rushes with skill.
