Team McDavid selected Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin with the 12th overall pick during Thursday night’s All-Star Game draft. Dahlin will therefore get the fantastic chance to play alongside the top player in the NHL.

Despite being a player of a generation, McDavid does not discount the other outstanding players in the league. Following the selection, media asked the 2015 first-overall pick what it is like playing against Dahlin. McDavid responded by praising the team’s best defenceman, the Sabres.

Regarding Dahlin, McDavid stated the following: “He’s a player who just keeps getting better and better.” To his game, he has incorporated a rather physical element. He is obviously as talented offensively as you will see on the back end. He’s simply an amazing player. We drafted him because of this.”
