General manager Bill Guerin determined that talented winger Adam Beckman would be better served by spending some time in the minor leagues, despite the fact that Beckman displayed moments of brilliance during his campaign for a roster place. In the interim, Beckman was supposed to play significant minutes for the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild. He would gain self-assurance in Des Moines and soon be prepared to make a contribution in St. Paul.
