The best contract ever Florida adds a key agent

National Signing Day is here.

While many of the state’s top recruits signed their National Letters of Intent during the early signing period in December, numerous high school seniors and recent transfer portal commits will sign on Wednesday.

On the high school level, Benjamin athlete Amaree Williams committed to Florida State on Saturday and will sign there. Nikhil Jefferson, a Berkeley Prep defensive lineman, will join with Vanderbilt, while Chalil Cummings of Bradford will sign with Memphis.

Grayson Howard, Florida, Linebacker

Many more players will sign with programmes of varying levels, and there may be a few surprises along the way.

Three of the state’s four Power 5 programmes — Miami, Florida State, and UCF — will formally install a high-profile quarterback as the instant starter.

Miami has signed Cam Ward (a transfer from Washington State), Florida State has signed DJ Uiagalelei (from Oregon State), and UCF has signed KJ Jefferson (from Arkansas).

Stay tuned to the USA Today Florida Network throughout the day for updates on the most important in-state signings and transfers.

Howard made 19 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble in 11 games for South Carolina as a true freshman in 2024.

Howard graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, where he had over 180 tackles as a senior and led the team to the district championship.
