The longest time signing contract in the history of dockers has been completed in few minute

Sean Darcy, a Fremantle ruckman, has signed a six-year contract extension that will carry him until the end of 2030, stating that he believes fully in the Dockers’ roster and what the club is building.

The hefty extension gives Darcy the longest current contract at Fremantle, along with Brennan Cox, and secures the greatest ruck duo in the competition for the long time, after Luke Jackson committed to the end of 2029.

Darcy, who was set to become a free agent at the end of 2024, rejected down competitor offers and is now in a position to remain a Docker for the rest of his career after playing 98 games for the club and won the 2021 Doig Medal as champion.

“It’s a really exciting time for the footy club, we’ve got some really talented players,” Darcy said in a statement.

“We just need to get into it, and I can’t wait for the season to begin. I have complete faith in our team, our list, what we’re building, and everything going forward.

“We had a bit of a terrible year last season, and we’re not hiding from it.

Darcy played 15 games in 2023 after an ankle injury forced him to have season-ending surgery.

The ruckman stated that he had had a nice couple of weeks on the track and was “starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel” as he prepares to resume full training in January.
