The Minnesota Wild have experienced upheaval throughout the whole season.
Before they had even left for their mid-November trip to Sweden, team president and general manager Bill Guerin gave players and staff a “kick in the ass” lecture due to a terrible start on the ice. Coach Dean Evason was let go shortly after Thanksgiving.
Not only are there still unanswered questions regarding the reason behind assistant general manager Chris O’Hearn’s dismissal—which, team sources tell The Athletic, came after the organization commissioned multiple investigations into Wild executives—but the departure of O’Hearn on Wednesday only serves to heighten the sense of chaos and panic.
