BREAKING NEWS: Iowa $86 Million starter released for a new prospect to Fill-In

Elijah Hoyt is becoming rather acquainted with the University of Iowa campus, especially with the football stadium. For the fourth time since last summer, the in-state prospect for the Class of 2025 came back to town last weekend.

Together with other invited recruits, the defensive back from Urbandale (IA) High enjoyed the Hawkeyes’ junior day event. He was given a deeper look inside the company.

“Learning about the culture of the place I visited was the most enjoyable part of the trip.Hoyt was selected as a second-team all-stater by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association last autumn. During his junior season, he racked up 22 solo tackles, 2.0 stops for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble. He also returned kickoffs, gained 220 yards from 12 receptions, and gained 49 yards from eight rushes.

Hoyt (6-1, 185) shows off his athleticism and adaptability in this junior highlight reel. At cornerback, he not only performs admirably in coverage but also stands up well against the run. This combination also elevates safety to the status of an option. He makes an impression while holding the ball. The Hawkeyes are enamored with the whole package.

“I think Iowa is a good fit because I want to become and achieve being the best football player that I can possibly be, which I believe Iowa can definitely help with,” he stated.

Hoyt is being consistently recruited by many elite programs, even as he waits for his first scholarship offer. Iowa State, Kansas State, Northern Illinois, North Dakota State, and South Dakota are on the list.
