According to acclaimed journalist Alan Nixon, Darren Moore is Port Vale’s first choice to replace Andy Crosby.
Following Crosby’s dismissal after a 3-0 loss to Fleetwood Town, Nixon stated that Moore’s appointment is the club’s primary priority. Nixon said that Moore might be open to a speedy reversal, with the Valiants reportedly aiming to install a new head as quickly as possible. Moore’s expertise and victory ratio may make him a more appealing proposition for Vale fans than some of the other candidates for the role.
Moore was recently in charge of Championship club Huddersfield Town before leaving on January 29th. The 49-year-old won promotion to Sheffield Wednesday in 2023. He also had a long playing career, with over a hundred games for West Brom and international matches for Jamaica.
