Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs will face San Francisco in Las Vegas on Sunday, aiming to win their third Super Bowl in five seasons.
For most of the season, the Chiefs appeared to be behind the Niners and the Baltimore Ravens, whom they defeated in the AFC Championship Game.
But playoff Kansas City, with Patrick Mahomes leading the offence with Kelce as his major weapon, and Chris Jones organising the defence, made a second consecutive Super Bowl despite being underdogs in two playoffs meetings with the Buffalo Bills and the Ravens.
Kelce and other renowned Chiefs players addressed the team on Saturday night, before to the game. The MMQB labelled Kelce’s speech as “unbelievable” and “powerful,” while Mahomes and Jones also addressed the squad..
Some teammates were even moved “to tears” – the perfect rally cry as they gear up to take on San Francisco. On both sides of the ball, Chiefs players are working overtime to get into perfect condition. Kelce said to the media: “The offensive and defensive lines are trying to get their work in, trying to make sure everybody’s ready for the game. It just got me fired up. I love the focus and energy of the team right now.”
