As Shaw noted in the following assessment of Ament’s on-display versatile repertoire, the 6-foot-8, 170-pound silky five-star shone with 20 points and 11 rebounds, albeit in an opening-round 72-69 loss to nearby Millbrook.
“Nate Ament has tremendous high-end upside. He is listed at 6-foot-8 and can reach 6-foot-9 on the basketball court.
“Ament discovered himself as the primary initiator for the majority of the possessions…He has a confident handle and can get to his spots on the floor without rushing. Ament has a smooth jump shot that he can knock down when he steps into it. Ament rebounded the ball well and scored easily at all levels.
