The possibility of dual Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe in 2024 and his potential to assist in resolving the team’s on-ball problems after going back to “the Fyfey of old” this summer are exciting Fremantle supporters.

After shifting forward in recent years, Fyfe has trained as a permanent midfielder this preseason. He has excelled in multiple match practice sessions and is in excellent health following two seasons that were badly disrupted by injury.

After playing together just 16 times in the previous two seasons, Jordan Clark, a teammate, expressed his delight about playing with Fyfe more. The group was excited about the former captain’s return to the midfield.”Yes, without a doubt. “I recall sitting in Fyfey’s house after I got home, having a cup of tea or coffee, and telling him how excited I was to play with him because of his skill set and style of play,” Clark remarked on Thursday.

He constantly tells me that we haven’t played many games together, which is unfortunate because he still struggles with his body.

“The way he’s gone about it this pre-season, it’s really exciting to be around and he seems to be back to the ‘Fyfey’ of old and I can’t wait to run out there with him and see him at work.”
“With his aerial skills and around the competition, he’s an incredible beast. He simply gives us a new depth. He’s a large, strong man with physical gifting.

His absence from our midfield group has undoubtedly caused us to miss something. He’s been invaluable to us because of his incredible game knowledge, which allows him to teach the other lads.”
