What depressing news for the TNRL team. After an independent evaluation of the club, the Wests Tigers reorganized their whole management team, appointing former New South Wales premier Barry O’Farrell as acting chair and former Souths manager Shane Richardson as interim chief executive.

The team, which was formed in 1999 by the union of Balmain Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies, finished with the wooden spoon in 2023 and last entered the top eight in 2011.

Since its establishment, the new organization has only made it to the finals three times; in 2005, it won the NRL premiership.

As part of the adjustments, chief executive Justin Pascoe resigned, and chair Lee Hagipantelis, whose law firm Brydens Lawyers is the club’s primary sponsor, was removed.tigers asPascoe “thinks the review marks the right time for the club to make a fresh start,” according to a statement from the club.

Longtime Wests Ashfield member and current director Tony Andreacchio commended Hagipantelis and Pascoe for their efforts in pursuing the review process.

“Despite the tremendous obstacles that Lee and Justin had to overcome, their legacy has provided us with a solid foundation for the future,” Andreacchio stated.

“But this club is determined to provide the leadership needed to succeed in the NRL, that much is clear.”
