BREAKING NEWS: Heels have just released him

On Wednesday night, tragic news broke that Bob Knight, one of the greatest college basketball coaches in history, had died at the age of 83.

Knight is most known for being the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers from 1971 to 2000. When he retired, his 902 career wins set a new NCAA record. Even if it has since been surpassed, Knight’s impact will endure for a very long time, so it doesn’t diminish what he was able to accomplish on the sidelines.

Several legendary North Carolina Tar Heels issued messages in response to the news of his passing. Roy Williams, a former basketball coach at UNC, said the following:
