LATEST NEWS: A Top prospect, Decides to Commits to Florida

Warner Robins, Georgia At a ceremony at his high school on Sunday, Houston County interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph revealed his commitment to Florida, giving the Gators their first front-five promise of the class of 2025.

Joseph declared his top seven schools in December 2023 and chose Florida over LSU, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan, and Penn State.The consensus four-star blocker’s recruitment by Florida began with the program’s May 2022 scholarship offer; since then, Joseph’s main point of contact in Gainesville has been offensive line coach Rob Sale.
While considering his recruiting choices, Joseph went on to visit UF at least three times. During his visits to The Swamp in 2022 and 2023, he saw Florida beat No. 7 Utah and No. 11 Tennessee, respectively.

Notably, he joined the Gators less than a week after Darnell Stapleton, their co-offensive line coach, quit to accept a similar job with the NFL’s Washington Commanders. While considering his recruiting choices, Joseph went on to visit UF at least three times. During his visits to The Swamp in 2022 and 2023, he saw Florida beat No. 7 Utah and No. 11 Tennessee, respectively.

Notably, he joined the Gators less than a week after Darnell Stapleton, their co-offensive line coach, quit to accept a similar job with the NFL’s Washington Commanders. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Joseph is anticipated to continue growing at guard along the interior at Florida.

Adding Joseph to the Gators’ 2025 commits are wide receiver Josiah Abdullah of Atlanta (Ga.), defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins of Tallahassee (Fla.), and running back Waltez Clark of Tampa (Fla.) Plant.

He leads Florida’s upcoming class of offensive line commitments, coming just one cycle after the Gators signed transfer portal tackles Devon Manuel and Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, as well as high school prospects Mike Williams and Fletcher Westphal, hybrid blocker Marcus Mascoll, and guard Noel Portnjagin.
