When the early signing session began on Wednesday morning at Mainland, McCray was initially scheduled to sign documents during a ceremony. The five-star defensive line prospect from Mainland High School announced on Instagram Live on Wednesday night that he will be signing with the University of Florida, adhering to his October promise. McCray was originally supposed to sign paperwork during a ceremony on Wednesday morning at Mainland when the early signing session started. He didn’t, however, make the announcement until 5:45 p.m.

As recently as last Thursday, he posted a graphic on social media that said, “One week until I’m a Gator.”
