With the rumored acquisitions of Chris Kapilovic and Bryan Ellis on Monday morning, it appeared for a brief moment that incoming Alabama football head coach Kalen DeBoer had assembled his roster for the 2024 campaign. That all changed on Monday afternoon when William Inge, who was supposed to become the coordinator of special teams and outside linebackers for the Crimson Tide, instead left for Tennessee.

But the position wasn’t empty for very long. Bruce Feldman of The Athletic stated that Christian Robinson is anticipated to be hired by the Crimson Tide for the position. Prior to this, Robinson was Baylor’s linebackers coach.

Robinson offers a plethora of southern expertise to the position. He has previously served as a coach at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn.
