Nick Pringle, a forward for Alabama, has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Nate Oats for actions that are harmful to the club.

In an interview with reporters on Friday, Oats made the announcement about the decision without going into detail about the reasoning behind it.

“Nothing serious off the court or anything,” added Oats. “We have an internal standard that we expect our guys to follow, and he wasn’t doing so. I adore Nick no less. I’m hoping he can sort himself out and rejoin the team soon.”

Pringle is a member of the Crimson Tide for his second season. After attending Dodge City Community College in Kansas for the 2021–2022 academic year, he transferred to a junior college. The native of South Carolina enrolled at Wofford in 2020–21 to start his college career. In 15 games as a freshman off the bench, he scored 2.0 points per game on average.

Pringle transferred to a junior college, according to Mason Smith of SI.com, because of a “tough season on the court combined with poor academic performance.”

During his one and only season with the Terriers, Pringle was candid with Smith about his troubles on the court.

It was “my lack of focus,” he admitted. “I feel like I didn’t really lock into the process, I didn’t trust guys around me, and I didn’t buy into what I needed to.”
