The basketball player was fined $2000 for failing to perform during the game versus Sacramento, which ended in a 117:123 score. Jokic made contact with Domantas Sabonis, his opponent, and tumbled to the ground. The league opted to fine the Serbian player for simulation even though Sabonis was given a penalty.
He joined the Mega Vizura team in 2012 and played mainly in youth team games during the 2012–13 season before starting his professional career. He participated in 13 Serbian Championship games and 25 Adriatic League games during the 2013–14 season. The Denver Nuggets chose Jokic with the 41st overall choice on June 26, 2014, in the 2014 NBA Draft.
