Lee Evans, a midfielder, and the Club have decided to mutually terminate his contract.

After leaving Wigan Athletic, Lee joined Town in the summer of 2021. In his two and a half seasons at Portman Road, Lee made 61 appearances across all competitions.

In that span, the 29-year-old scored six goals, including a spectacular hat-trick in the September 2021 6-0 triumph over Doncaster Rovers.

In addition to playing multiple times as Town’s captain, he also scored the team’s first goal of the 2022–2023 season on the first day of the campaign that would see promotion to the Championship, against Bolton.

Prior to making a full recovery from a knee injury he sustained during the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Huddersfield in September, Lee played five times in the current campaign and scored significant goals against Bristol Rovers and Morecambe during Town’s promotion season.

Lee leaves with our best wishes for the future and the Club’s gratitude for his service.
