All Gators can confirm that Florida has hired Dan Enos, a former offensive coordinator for Arkansas, to fill an analyst post off the field. He will work with head coach Billy Napier on projects and scouting.

Jacob Rudner of 247Sports was the first to report that Enos would soon be joining UF.

Enos, 55, joins the Gators after playing for the Razorbacks for about half of the 2023 season until being fired on October 22. He had served as Arkansas’ offensive coordinator from 2015 to 2017, so this brief assignment was his second in that capacity.

Notably, on November 4, the team’s first game following Enos’ dismissal, the Arkansas offense, under the direction of interim coordinator Kenny Guiton at the time, led the Razorbacks to an unexpected 39-36 victory over the Gators at Gainesville.

Enos’ thirty-plus year career in the field included positions at his alma mater Michigan State (1991–1993, 2006–09), Maryland (2021–22), Cincinnati (2004–05, 2020), Miami (2019), Alabama (2018), Michigan (2018), Central Michigan (2010–14), and other schools prior to his most recent coaching appointment.

He was head coach of the Chippewas, associate head coach of the Bearcats and Crimson Tide, offensive coordinator for the Terrapins and Hurricanes, and in charge of running backs and quarterbacks among other offensive positions at these and other places

His work as a coordinator at Maryland was arguably his best. In 2021 and 2022, the Terrapins placed fourth in the Big Ten in terms of overall offense, and fourth and fifth in terms of scoring offense during those same seasons.
