The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the acquisition of veteran forward Zane Tetevano.
The 33-year-old returns to the NRL on a one-year contract with the club, and General Manager of Football Phil Gould welcomed him to Belmore today: “Zane is a highly respected senior player who will bring leadership and work ethic to our group.”
The International prop began his career with the Newcastle Knights, relocating from New Zealand as a teenager to pursue their opportunities. He made his NRL debut for the Knights in 2011, then spent three seasons with the Roosters, where he played in their 2018 Grand Final victory. He later joined Penrith for a two-year contract before being released to Join the Leeds Rhinos. Tetevano played more than 120 games in the NRL.
Tetevano has 10 international caps for the Cook Islands and three Test appearances for New Zealand.
Tetevano was released by Leeds last year on medical reasons, but he has subsequently passed a fitness test to take up the offer at Canterbury. The new recruit began training with the Bulldogs earlier today.
