Nick Sheridan came to Alabama with Kalen DeBoer to teach the tight ends. However, after Ryan Grubb left to join the Seattle Seahawks, Sheridan was elevated to the post of offensive coordinator and will call plays for the Crimson Tide this autumn.

Joining The Next Round, which was set up inside the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility, on Wednesday morning, Sheridan provided his initial comments on the offensive he inherits in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Crimson Tide welcomed back four starters from the previous season’s offense.

“In my initial interview at UA, I believe there is explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball,” Sheridan stated. “I believe there are some extremely talented playmakers at various spots. There have been some guys that are returning, some really solid interior offensive play, and some pretty good young O-linemen on the edges, in my opinion.

We are therefore enthusiastic about the group. Every day, more and more about them becomes known to us. I am aware that part of spring practice will involve trying to figure out what the group excels at and pairing with quarterbacks who are all really gifted, skilled, and unique. However, we’re quite inspired and thrilled with the guys present.
