At Alabama’s first session under head coach Kalen DeBoer on Monday, Jalen Milroe received the initial reps as expected at quarterback. The most seasoned quarterback on the squad, the redshirt junior began 13 of the 14 games played by the Crimson Tide in the previous season.

But in addition to learning a new offensive scheme, Milroe will need to put in more effort to stave off Alabama’s other signal-callers who are hoping to get a chance under the new coaching staff. When questioned if Milroe was “his guy” or if every post is unfilled, DeBoer talked about it.
