Josh Primo is set to sign a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said Friday.

The NBA suspended Primo for four games without pay on Friday for “conduct detrimental to the league.”

The 2021 NBA first-round pick was waived by the San Antonio Spurs in October 2022 due to claims of sexual misconduct against many women.

According to Wojnarowski, Primo is now in “ongoing therapy” and will continue to visit a therapist after joining the Clippers.

According to Wojnarowski, Primo has been evaluated by specialists who consult with the Clippers, and the organisation is confident in providing him this opportunity.

After being released by the Spurs in October, Primo sent a statement to Wojnarowski about the claims.

“I’ve been seeking help to deal with previous trauma I suffered and will now take this time to focus on my mental health treatment more fully,” Primo said at the time.

In November, former team psychologist Dr. Hillary Cauthen resolved a lawsuit against the Spurs and Primo for allegedly exposing himself to her during therapy sessions. According to News 4 San Antonio, the accuser claimed the team ignored several reports about Primo’s inappropriate sexual behaviour.

In Friday’s suspension statement, the NBA stated that its investigation had discovered “Primo engaged in inappropriate and offensive behaviour by exposing himself to women.”

“Primo maintains that his conduct was not intentional, and the league did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures,” the NBA stated in a statement. “Nevertheless, this behaviour does not conform to league standards and warrants discipline.”

Primo will be able to join the Clippers’ roster after his ban ends on November 1.
