Defenseman Dante Fabbro will be out for two to three weeks for the Nashville Predators due to an upper-body injury.

On Tuesday, the Predators summoned Spencer Stastney from their AHL Milwaukee affiliate and provided an update on Fabbro’s injury status.

In a 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota on Sunday, Fabbro sustained an injury that limited him to just six shifts in three minutes and eight seconds. For the 2024–25 NHL season, he inked a one-year, $2.5 million contract at the trade deadline.

The 25-year-old defenceman, who plays on the top defensive pairing with captain Roman Josi, is in his fifth season with Nashville. With 12 points in 53 games, he is enjoying his greatest season and is ranked third with a plus-11 rating.

Nashville, which is 10-0-2 in its previous 12 games, will be visiting Winnipeg on Wednesday night.

The Predators, who were not in the playoffs the previous year. now have 78 points, good for the top wild-card spot in the Western Conference. With two games remaining against the Predators, it puts them barely ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights, the defending Stanley Cup champions (75 points).
