Steelers Receive A New Head Coach For The 2024 Season In Crazy Hypothetical Introduced By Former NFL Quarterback

Rumours circulated all week that the Steelers were open to moving their veteran wide receiver. According to league sources who spoke with All Steelers last week, the team was taking calls about Johnson and pondering a transfer, but they were not actively making phone calls.

Apparently, the appropriate bid came in, and the Steelers found a suitor.

Johnson is entering the final year of his deal and is expected to earn $15.8 million this season. He had a $3 million roster bonus due on Friday, which served as somewhat of a deadline for a prospective move away from Pittsburgh.

The Steelers will now carry George Pickens and Calvin Austin as their primary receivers on the roster. They’re likely to sign a veteran in free agency and a rookie in the NFL Draft.
