Despite having earlier requested to play, Josh Addo-Carr, the standout winger for the Canterbury Bulldogs, has been formally ruled out of the team’s Round 2 match against the Cronulla Sharks.

Following the captain’s run for the team, coach Cameron Ciraldo announced on Thursday morning that the winger would not be starting the game with his teammates.

Considering he was only listed as a reserve in the roster, the Bulldogs will start Blake Wilson and Connor Tracey on the wings as per the schedule for Friday’s game in the Shire, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (AEDT).
