News now: A four-time Pro Bowl running back, has reached an agreement with the Ravens.

Derrick Henry, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and Baltimore Ravens running back, has a message for those who believe he has passed his prime.

“Tell them to keep watching,” Henry stated during his first news conference on Thursday. “People will always have something to say. People will always have opinions. I’m just here eager to work and get things started.”

On Thursday, Henry officially signed his two-year, $16 million contract with Baltimore (of which $9 million is guaranteed).

“It really was a no-brainer for me,” Henry explained.

Head coach John Harbaugh was unsure whether his offensive coaches, who can now design up plays for Henry, or his defensive coaches, who no longer have to worry about limiting him, were more happy about the deal.

“He wants to do everything he can to help the team win,” Harbaugh explained. “That’s kind of the point here.

Henry stated that he hasn’t spoken with quarterback Lamar Jackson since joining the Ravens. Despite his great record, he wants to earn the respect of his teammates. Since 2017, Henry has led the NFL in numerous rushing metrics, including yards (9,012), touchdowns (85), yards per game (86.7), and attempts (1,920).
