Browns acquire CB Tony Brown
Bubba Ventrone, the special teams coordinator in Indianapolis, coached Brown for a single season.
Tony Brown, a star player on special teams and a cornerback, was added by the Browns as a depth addition to their defense and special teams unit. Brown’s contract was officially revealed.

During their time together in Indianapolis in 2022, Brown collaborated with Bubba Ventrone, the Browns’ special teams coordinator, and was a valuable member of the Colts’ special teams.

Coming out of Alabama, Brown is starting his seventh NFL season. After being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chargers in 2018, Brown has played in 61 games for the Packers (2018–19), Bengals (2020–21), and Colts (2022–23).

Brown has played 1,057 special teams snaps in his career, 555 of which came from his two years with the Colts. For the course of five seasons, he has also racked up 75 total tackles (58 career tackles and 17 career special teams tackles), along with four tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, one interception, seven passes defensed, and three forced fumbles.
