Alexander Holtz scored a goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins while playing with Jack Hughes and Erik Haula for the New Jersey Devils, earning accolades from his temporary head coach.
Hughes and Holtz are finally playing together. Two players that perfectly compliment one another’s games. Hughes is an excellent skater and even better playmaker. He enjoys skating with the puck in transition and in the offensive zone. Holtz possesses a devastating shot. He’s powerful and precise with both his wrist shot and one-timer. Holtz’s quick release and ability to get open in high-danger situations could result in many goals off of feeds from Hug.
This aim isn’t a perfect representation of Holtz and Hughes’s ability to work together, but it is a solid idea of what they can accomplish. Hughes makes room with the puck and takes a shot at goal. Holtz uses his goal-scoring instincts to get by the defender, grab the rebound, and put it home.
