The San Francisco 49ers are willing to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk for a first-round pick in 2024, but they demand a high price that competing teams must fulfil if a deal is to be made.
After February’s Super Bowl LVIII overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, there were reports of animosity between San Francisco and the 26-year-old player. Aiyuk only caught three receptions for 49 yards in the 25-22 loss, leaving his camp frustrated with how he was deployed.
“Don’t forget what got you there,” Aiyuk remarked in a strange Instagram Story. And his fiancée Rochelle Searight responded on TikTok: “This could be the last time Brandon and I step foot in Levi’s Stadium. Because we may not be here next season.”
Aiyuk is not a free agent this offseason and can only leave the 49ers through a trade. San Francisco has picked up his fifth-year option, which guarantees him an annual salary of $14 million.
