The Wests Tigers have produced some excellent youngsters over the last 25 years, and the current batch could be as good as any.

Consider James Tedesco, Robbie Farah, and Mitchell Moses; Concord currently has a couple of young guns who might compete with all of them.

Galvin, 18, graduated from Westfield Sports High School last year and, despite his youth, is already among the Wests Tigers’ top 30 players.

Tigers coach Benji Marshall, who knows a thing or two about young gun halfbacks, told Fox League that Galvin has stood out in everything he’s done this offseason.

“He has been great. He reminds me of a Scott Hill-type five-eighth, in that he’s large, strong, and a fantastic ball runner, but he can also play ball,” Marshall said.

“He’s been winning everything at training from the 1.2km time trial to whatever the challenge is he’s super fit and he’s got all the makings of a very good NRL player.”

With Shane Richardson taking over as CEO, the Wests Tigers suddenly have someone in the front office who knows what a Steeden looks like and when a player agency is marketing a Datsun 180B disguised as a Mercedes.

Richardson immediately moved the attention to the Tigers as a development club with the case in point.
