This week’s Mock Draft series will differ from past ones in that it will focus entirely on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ picks in seven rounds. The Bucs will begin to bolster their roster with young talent at the end of April, following a successful free agency in which they were able to re-sign quarterback Baker Mayfield, wide receiver Mike Evans, inside linebacker Lavonte David, and kicker Chase McLaughlin, as well as tag safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and bring back safety Jordan Whitehead (Jets).

The Buccaneers will have seven picks in the 2024 NFL Draft after receiving a compensation pick for losses in free agency last year. Safety Mike Edwards, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, and defensive lineman Rakeem Nuñez-Roches all left the team as free agents. The two subsequent arrivals were Mayfield and defensive lineman Greg Gaines. The compensatory pick (round six, No. 220 overall) completes Tampa Bay’s draft order. The club does not have a 2024 fifth-round pick because it was dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles at the 2023 draft for receiver Trey Palmer in the sixth round. In addition, as part of the Carlton Davis III transaction, the Bucs transferred two sixth-round picks to Detroit in exchange for a 2024 third-round pick.
