The Alabama Crimson Tide football team got the weekend off for Easter before returning for another two weeks of spring practice. It’s been a relatively nice first spring for new head coach Kalen DeBoer, with optimism spreading throughout the programme.

Last Tuesday, Alabama’s sophomore receiver Jalen Hale suffered a significant knee injury, causing the program’s first serious setback.Hale took to social media on Saturday to thank supporters for their well-wishes and provide an update on his condition after leaving the Mal Moore Athletic Facility via ambulance.

My recovery wasn’t as awful as it could have been, so I’m lucky and glad for that, and I’ll be back stronger than before. Thank you for your support.” Hale tweeted on Saturday.

Hale finished his freshman year with five receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown over 13 games. DeBoer said that he will miss the remainder of spring practice while he recovers from his injury.

“Good morning everyone just wanna say thank you for all the text and phone I have got so far I really appreciate the support and love and prayers,” Hale posted on his Twitter account on Thursday.

The Crimson Tide has six more practices before hosting the annual spring A-Day game on Saturday, April 13 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama will still have seven scholarships.
