Unexpected upsets are a hallmark of March Madness, and last Thursday was no exception. The Oakland Golden Grizzlies shocked the Kentucky Wildcats 80-76, which was the most unexpected of all. The Wildcats were one of the favorites to advance far in the NCAA Tournament.
John Calipari’s team exited the tournament early, this time to No. 14-seeded Oakland, despite entering as the third seed. Kentucky now has three consecutive exits in the first or second round, and this loss keeps them on a bad run.
