After one of the few remaining free agents was removed from the mix, the Pittsburgh Steelers will now need to search elsewhere for linebacker support.
According to a source from Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2 TV, former Washington Commander Khaleke Hudson, who is also from McKeesport, Pennsylvania, turned down the Steelers during a visit earlier this week and signed with the New Orleans Saints instead.
After being selected by the Commanders in the fifth round out of Michigan in 2020, Hudson has spent the last four seasons with Washington, making 58 appearances. He participated in all 17 games (2023), starting eight of them, and finished with 74 total tackles (5 for a loss) and 1 sack. In addition to continuing to play a career-high number of defensive snaps, he remained an essential special team player.
