In his one and only season at Oxford, Beard guided the Rebels to a strong comeback. Ole Miss increased the program’s victory total by eight games and won 20 games for the first time in five years. During the SEC Tournament, the coach and the school came to an agreement on a long-term deal that would keep him in the area until 2030.

Arkansas will need to keep looking for a replacement for Musselman after his five-year tenure, during which the Razorbacks finished 111-59 overall. With almost every player on the roster either out of eligibility or in the transfer portal, the Razorbacks will have to put together a new roster. Jon Rothstein reports that Jerome Tang, the Kansas State coach, has taken the lead in Arkansas’ position. Considering that he worked on the roster the previous two seasons, he has a lot of expertise with transfers.
