Arkansas has finally gotten a new coach

Since Eric Musselman departed the Razorbacks for the West Coast and USC, the past 48 hours have been filled with events in the Natural State.

There have been conflicting reports, ranging from Chris Beard coming dangerously close to signing a contract with Arkansas before everything fell through. Hunter Yurachek was forced back to the drawing board after Ole Miss managed to lock down their coach in Oxford for the foreseeable future.

Wade might face backlash because of his show cause penalties for recruiting infractions. In mid-October, it expires, enabling him to hire outside of campus.

After ten seasons, Wade is regarded as a “stud” by many in the coaching community and has been a strong supporter of his players. Currently, he has a record of 220-100 overall, has won two conference titles as coach of the year, and has guided three separate teams to the NCAA Tournament.

This past season at McNeese State was probably one of his best coaching assignments. Not since 2002 have the Cowboys received an automatic invitation to the NCAA Tournament. Wade also guided his team to the school’s first-ever 30-win season.
