The 6-foot-7, 360-pound tackle arrived at Tuscaloosa as the top-rated tackle in the Class of 2023, having chosen Alabama over Iowa in high school. In 2023, he started every game at left tackle for the Crimson Tide and was named a Freshman All-American. Proctor entered his name into the transfer portal immediately after Nick Saban announced his retirement and swiftly concluded that returning to Iowa was in his best interests. That choice, however, was short-lived, as he would transfer back to Capstone before playing a single snap for the Hawkeyes.
