“I will Leave For Him To Play” Texas Longhorns Top Star Confirm To Enter Transfer Portal

Billy Walton, a redshirt freshman for the Texas Longhorns, told On3 on Monday that he plans to use the NCAA transfer portal as soon as the spring window opens.

After visiting Stillwater in April, Walton committed to Oklahoma State a few days after receiving his original offer from Texas in January 2022. However, the Longhorns persisted in their recruitment of Walton, getting the only other official visit outside of the Cowboys and doing enough to persuade the widely considered as a three-star prospect to stay in his home state following Walton’s decommitment from Oklahoma.
